What We Believe

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At St. Augustine, we are a community shaped by faith, hope, and love. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, or searching for a spiritual home, you are welcome here—just as you are.

Our Calling ❤️

We live out Jesus’ greatest commandments: to love God and to love one another—without exception. This shapes who we are and how we show up in the world, from our worship and fellowship to our care for neighbors near and far.

Our Faith ✝️

We believe in the Holy Trinity—God who is loving, liberating, and life-giving: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We follow Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection reveal God’s boundless love and bring hope, healing, and renewal to the world.

Our Life Together 🌿

We believe faith is lived best in community. We gather not because we have it all figured out, but because we are all recipients of God’s extraordinary grace. We celebrate that grace in worship, in service, and in the care we share with one another and our community.

Worship 🕯️

Our worship is grounded in the rich traditions of the Episcopal Church, blending music, prayer, Scripture, reflection, and Holy Communion. Communion is the heart of our worship, and all baptized Christians are welcome to receive. Children may receive at their parents’ discretion, and anyone who has not yet been baptized is warmly invited to come forward for a blessing. Whatever brings you through our doors, we hope you’ll feel at peace here.

Growing in Faith 📖

We believe questions are welcome and faith is always unfolding. Through adult formation classes, we explore Scripture, ask big questions, and grow together in understanding.

For children, we nurture faith through play, storytelling, creativity, and hands-on experiences, helping them discover just how deeply God loves them—and teaching them to share that love with others.
